Here are the
materials you need to complete this project are:
-A pair of surgical gloves,
-A spatula for mixing concrete,
-Two large buckets,
-A pair of scissors,
-And some succulent plants.
Step 1. Lay out your rubber
gloves on a table surface palm side up with the thumbs facing out. With a
pair of scissors, cut along the pinky finger edge of each glove creating a slit
that runs alongside the hand (about 3 inches long).
Step 2. Lay your gloves beside
each other with the slit sides facing each other. Cut a strip of duct
tape and seal the palm sides of each glove together, being careful to make a
tight seal along the edges of the two gloves. Then, flip the gloves over
and tape the top slits of each glove together. When you’re finished your
two gloves will have become “one”.
Step 4. Put on your latex
gloves to protect your hands. Scoop your concrete mix into your rubber
gloves. Be sure to work the concrete into the fingers of the glove.
Don’t over stuff the palms, as they should appear cupped as a final product.
Step 5. When your gloves are
filled, you will place them gently into another bucket, using towels to support
them while they cure in the position you desire.
Step 6. Allow your concrete
hands to cure for 4-5 days. Then, carefully remove the rubber gloves with
scissors and/or a small utility knife.
Your concrete hands are now ready to
use! We hope you enjoy your new DIY garden creation!
